While we like to think there aren’t any, there are certain dating rituals and dating rules. Dating has been apart of our culture for as long as anyone can remember. There are certain dating rules that have lasted the test of time and there are other dating rules that have started as a result of our ever changing society and culture. We have all had our own “dating disasters” but traditionally both men and women have certain dating rules they should follow if they want to have a successful dating record.
The first dating rule women should always follow is always look great. It doesn’t matter what your income is. Always make sure your hair is done, your makeup is perfect and your dating attire is sexy but appropriate. Men are more visually stimulated than women are so your apperance does matter, especially for those first few dates. The next dating rule for women is don’t make dating a marathon.
Keep each date brief. A man’s attention span is limited so don’t try to cram in your whole life story when first dating someone. Allow your information to come naturally and at a natural pace. Which brings us to dating rule number three never, EVER compare your date to your father or an exboyfriend. It is best to keep those things to yourself when dating. Not all information needs to be shared, there are just somethings the person you are dating does not need to hear and that is one of them.
Dating rule number four for women is never come across as desperate or too available. When first dating someone it is all about the chase for men, they like to have a little challenge and adventure when first dating a women. The two most scared dating rules are never mention you want children on the first few dates and never insult his mother. These two things equal dating suicide. If you are interested in having a healthy dating life than follow these dating rules and you should be good.
Now for all those men out there below you will find a few dating rules for you to follow. Number one is never expect sex on the first date. Try to make a concerted effort to really try and get to know the women if you are interested. There is no shame in learning about what a woman has to offer intellectually and emotionally before jumping into bed with her when you are dating her. The next dating rule for men is make sure your hygiene is in check before you pick her up. Showering is a must, your hair should be presentable, make sure your hands are clean, and keep the scruff too a two day minimum if you feel clean shaven is not the look for you.
Another dating rule is stop talking and start listening. The excessive chatter about nothing and no questions to the women you are dating is a big no no. Most women when they are dating like to tell you about themselves, in addition to asking you questions about yourself. The mindless chatter can later. Ask questions for the first few dates at least. Lastly, dating rule number 4 for men, women like men with ambition and intellect so its ok to show those sides to her. If you are stuck on conversation topics your career and something that will strike up a good conversation are always good avenues to take.
